It's official, we're going batty!
This magic monochrome party with just the right amount of bling was created for Master 5 and Miss 8.
Our bat cave whipped up by Alanna the Planner set the scene with a colony of bats escaping the party goers in the nick of time. A city backdrop created with grey washi tape couldn't have been easier, or cheaper to create and remained a feature for quite some time after the party.
There were plenty of bat treats for our pups to nibble on including bat cookie pops, cupcakes, white chocolate mousse with choc bark, pop corn, vanilla macaroons topped with black sprinkles and of course a cake each. One vanilla sponge with buttercream and chocolate drizzle and a rich chocolate cake layered with cream cheese icing and chocolate drizzle.
Cookie pops and cake pops can be a bit tricky to display so our DIY tip for this is to wrap a block of styrofoam in your fave Pretty Baker wrap!
Soda cans were given a nocturnal makeover complete with bat wings and chilled Lewis Road Creamery milk in mini blackboard milk bottles are a perfect addition for all things monochrome
All our little bats were kept busy with plenty of festive games from a custom bat piñata made by Alanna the Planner to frozen bats that needed help to escape.
If trick or treating isn't your thing this Halloween, stay in and get batty!
